WHAT’S REALLY HAPPENING IN THE WEST BANK?

Robert Levering recently returned from the West Bank where he spent three weeks working on a new documentary film about the plight of Palestinian Christians. While there he and his film crew interviewed 17 Palestinians and Israeli peace activists who described settler attacks on Palestinian farmers harvesting olives, IDF raids and demolitions of civilian homes, horrific accounts of torture and abuse in Israeli prisons, and other impacts of Israel’s military occupation of the West Bank. He will show footage from the interviews and offer insights into how and why the situation has deteriorated dramatically since his visit there a year ago.

A member of Santa Cruz Friends Meeting, Robert was the executive producer of The Movement and the ‘Madman’ which premiered on PBS in 2023, as well as the 2020 documentary The Boys Who Said NO!
